FISHING WEAPON
THE TEAM
Carter
My love of fishing started at a young age in Darwin, Northern Territory. I would bug dad to take me fishing, but without a boat we were confined to land based spots, making it difficult with all the crocodiles. Our adventures trully began when we started kayak fishing a billabong close to our home, regularly catching Barramundi and Saratoga. Due to the threat of crocodiles, we upgraded to a small tinny and have been committed fishos ever since. We learnt so much fishing the fresh and saltwater of the Top End, experiences that I'll never forget. We now live in Hervey Bay, Queensland, and apply our learnings to the new setting, developing local knowledge with every trip. We share our adventures through the blog, hope you enjoy it.
Matt
Dad is a keen fisho and together we share a passion for being on the water. He grew up in the highlands of country NSW, exposed to trout fishing at a young age. While he did some estuary fishing during summer holidays, he had limited experience in the saltwater until our Top End adventures. He does his best to make time to get out on the water, and has taught me the value of catch and release for sustainability of fish stocks. After all, great fish are too good to catch just once.
The Girls
My mum and sister accompany us on some of our adventures. Like us, they enjoy spending time on the water and have outfished us on more than one occasion.
We all support the Fraser Coast Fishing Alliance.
